Greetings fellow bloggers! I post this question to you all because I know there are some very savvy people who are following this blog and perhaps you can help me out.
The issue is with our internal website at work. We post all the essential files in pdf form so all of our clients or employees can download them when necessary. the problem we’re having is that when you click the download button for a pdf, it automatically opens the pdf in your browser. We’ve tried various solutions (I don’t know exactly what they did because I didn’t do it myself) that causes the prompt to enter your password open again and again and again and gets you no where. We need a way to force the link to give you that download/save as prompt instead of just showing it in the browser or doing the crazy password thing. The simple solution would be to convert them all to zip files so it downloads like any other non pdf file… but the problem is there are HUNDREDS of files, and changing each name and link and button in the entire website would be quite the undertaking, and one we dont have time to even consider.
Does anybody know something I can try? Thanks in advance for the help!
