The skittles site is a lot of fun to navigate, and very easy to navigate as well. The phone thing in concept was a little weird, but it was nicely designed. I liked the use of the javascript pop up windows to determine the users age before using the site. Another nice use was the informative windows that would pop up and give you tips about how to use certain things and how they functioned or how you could turn off some elements if they bugged you. The other thing i found very interesting is that this entire site must cost them very little to maintain. It’s a facebook hosted site to begin with, then most of the links take you to different places like when you click products, it takes you to the wikipedia page, when you click videos, instead of hosting them themselves it takes you to youtube. But that little skittles box always stays in the corner so you never have to click back to find the navigation again. Very interesting. Skittles definitely is taking advantage of the social networking sites more so than any other site I’ve seen.
